Opening Hours
Summer at the Museums
During the period from May 15 to September 15, the museum is open every day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During this period, you must purchase a ticket to gain access to the open-air museum during opening hours.
During the period from from September 16 to May 14 we are open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Please remember that we welcome groups on requested tours all year.
Opening hours during the holidays:
Whitsun: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Easter: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
May 1. 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Ascension Day: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Christmas: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
The museum is closed on May 17th, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

How to get here:
By car
Follow signs along the main roads into Elverum, exit from RV 25 and Vestsideveien on the west side of Glomma in Elverum.
Train and bus
Bus 100 from Gjøvik/Hamar and Bus 105 from Hamar/Kongsvinger. Train R60 Trondheim/Hamar. Check public transport offers from where you are at entur.no
On foot
From Elverum shuttle station/train station it is a 10-minute walk south along Vestsideveien, follow signs to Glomdalsmuseet.
From Anno Norsk Skogmuseum it is possible to get directly to Glomdalsmuseet via a suspension bridge over the river Glomma.

Keep your ticket - save money!
When visiting more than one Anno-museum on the same day, you only pay for the first visit and enter the rest for free as long as you can present your ticket.
When visiting two or more Anno-museums two days in a row, you get 50% off on one Anno-museum day two when presenting your ticket from the day before

The open air museum
The museum park at Glomdalsmuseet has 93 buildings from the period 1612–1940. Most of the buildings are geographically located in yards from the municipalities of Østerdalen and Solør.

Outside the Glomdal Museum you will find a large parking lot with the possibility of parking cars and campers.
